My main memory of Mum was “she was always there”; whenever we came home, either from School, College or University, Mum was always there. On those occasions when she wasn’t there, a note would be left on the table, normally it would read one of 3 things :-
- ’Over the Garden’,
- ‘Down Farm’ or
- ‘Down Chapel’.
Mum was always on time, she always wanted to be early and would never keep anyone waiting.
Mum had a very strong faith, she diligently taught us as young boys the values of the Christian faith. She actively lived out her faith day to day, always willing to help someone else and always content with all she had. In her last days she had an amazing peace and confidence in the knowledge that she would soon be with her Lord.
Now Mum is now longer here, we will miss her dearly.
